House of the Butcher 2 (Original title: Andre the Butcher , working title: Dead Meat ) is an American horror comedy directed by Philip Cruz from 2005 . Despite the German distribution title, it is not a continuation of the House of the Butcher , shot a year later , but an independent film.

action

The cheerleaders Jasmine, cookie and Kristy and her male counterpart Jimbo make their way through the southern United States to participate in a competition. The supporters of the pro-life movement , however, only appear Christian on the outside . On the way there, they are already involved in a fight with a rival cheerleading team. A little later they have a serious accident after Jimbo loses control of the car during a blow job .

They quarter themselves in a seemingly abandoned house and enjoy themselves in several pair constellations. However, "Andre the Butcher" and Hoss and Tober, two escapees, are in the area. While Jimbo and Kristy are looking for help, the two escapees attack Jasmine and Cookie. Shortly thereafter, however, Sheriff Cooper appears, who arrests the two escapees. But when he tries to rape Jasmine, her Hoss comes to the rescue. Meanwhile, Andre the Butcher caught Kristy. Their sins are shown on a television, then he kills them.

After Andre the Butcher systematically decimates the group, only Jasmine, Hoss and Deputy Hollingsworth, a trigger-happy and arachnophobic policewoman, remain in the end. A mysterious narrator lets Jasmine in on the secret of Andre the Butcher: once a loyal Christian family man, he turned away from God after his family was killed in a tragic accident. The butcher retaliated by killing people and processing them into meat. When the people in his home found out, they lynched him. But he was able to make a deal with Satan and has been collecting souls for him ever since. Only a pastor can free him with prayers and holy water . To do this, however, a ritual must be performed on his coffin. Since Hoss happened to be a priest and he saw the coffin on his escape, the three of them decide to stop him.

At the showdown, however, Deputy Hollinger is killed and the other two seriously injured. They also lack holy water. Jasmine and Hoss crawl to the coffin with the last of their strength. Hoss can say the prayer and uses his urine as holy water. When the ritual is complete, Andre the Butcher catches fire and dies.

background

The low budget film was shot in Avon Park in Lakeland , Florida . The original title Dead Meat was later changed to Andre the Butcher as there was already an Irish film of the same name. The soundtrack included Hades , Black Funeral and Pest . The butcher is played by porn actor Ron Jeremy .

The film premiered on February 1, 2005 at the Sundance Film Festival . The DVD was released on April 25, 2006. Similar to the fraudulent labeling of the German title, a DVD cover was released that bore no resemblance to the film and was more oriented towards the serious mainstream. Director Philip Cruz later said he was taken by surprise by the marketing company. Originally a cover with Ron Jeremy was planned that should also refer to the comedic side of the film.
