Howard Davies (sprinter)

Howard Davies ( Howard Granville Davies; born August 5, 1944 in Newport ) is a former British sprinter .

In 1966 he failed for Wales starting at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston over 220 yards and 440 yards in advance.

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he did not get past the first round over 400 m .

In 1970 he reached the quarter-finals at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 200 m and came with the Welsh team to fifth place in the 4-by-100-meter relay .
