Hu Chia-chen (born March 28, 1997 ) is a Taiwanese sprinter .

Athletic career

Hu Chia-chen gained her first international experience at the Asian Youth Games in Nanjing in 2013 , where she was eliminated in the first round with 12.40 seconds. The following year, she finished fourth at the Junior Asian Championships in Taipei in the 100-meter run and won the bronze medal in the Taiwanese 4-by-100-meter relay in 45.94 s. So she qualified for the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where she was eliminated with 12.02 s in the lead. At the beginning of October, she finished seventh with the relay at the Asian Games in Incheon . In 2017 she took part in the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar and was eliminated there with 12.08 s in the semi-finals. At the Summer Universiade in Taipei, she was eliminated both in the individual competition over 100 meters and in the relay in the first round.

In 2018 she took part again in the Asian Games in Jakarta and came in sixth place with the relay. The following year she was eliminated from the Asian Championships in Doha with 11.94 s in the lead. In July she retired at the Summer Universiade in Naples with 12.21 seconds in advance.

In 2018, she became the Taiwanese champion with the 4 x 100 meter relay.
