Huang Wenyi
Huang Wenyi ( Chinese 黄文仪 * 6. March 1991 in Chaozhou ) is a Chinese lightweight - rower .
Huang Wenyi made her debut in the 2010 rowing World Cup , in Munich she finished second in the lightweight double scull with Jing Liu . At the 2010 and 2011 World Championships , she finished seventh with Pan Feihong . In 2012, Huang Wenyi rowed together with Xu Dongxiang , the two of them won the World Cup regatta in Lucerne and took third place in Belgrade. At the 2012 Olympic Games , the two of them reached the finals with victories in the preliminary and semi-finals, where the British Sophie Hosking and Katherine Copeland won , over two and a half seconds behind the two Chinese won the silver medal ahead of the Greek two.
After a one year break, Huang Wenyi returned to the international regatta courses in 2014, at the world championships she received the bronze medal together with Pan Dandan . At the 2015 World Championships , Huang Wenyi rowed in the non-Olympic lightweight quadruple sculls and finished fifth. In 2016, she won the World Cup in Varese in the lightweight double scull with Pan Feihong . The two Chinese women received the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games .
