Hubert Langbein

Hubert Langbein (born March 1, 1943 in Gera ) is a German chemist .

Life

Langbein studied chemistry from 1963 to 1968 at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . After that he was a research assistant at the University of Jena until 1973. During this time he did his doctorate with Adalbert Feltz . The PhD B followed by 1985, also at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, which was converted into a habilitation in 1991. In 1985 he obtained the Facultas Docendi , taught inorganic and general chemistry at the University of Jena and then studied at the chair of "Chemical Kinetics" at Moscow State University under Michael Georgiewitsch Kuzmin . He then worked from 1986 to 1992 as a university lecturer for inorganic chemistry at the TU Dresden . In 1992 he was appointed to the C3 professorship for inorganic molecular chemistry at the TU Dresden, which he held until his retirement in 2008.
