Hudjefa II. Is the erroneous name of an ancient Egyptian king ( Pharaoh ) in the Royal Papyrus of Turin , who from about 2695 BC. Ruled for five to six years in the 3rd Dynasty . Due to the completely scratched name entry, the king's name was entered as the successor to Sechemchet in the cartouche with Hudjefa ("erased"). Subsequent scribes , who in turn made copies, considered "Hudjefa" to be a ruler's name, as the word was surrounded by a cartouche.

The assignment and classification of this name is controversial in Egyptology . In the list of kings of Abydos , the kings name in question was given as “Sedjes”, which means “omitted” in German and has the same meaning and origin as the word Hudjefa . Thomas Schneider , Jürgen von Beckerath and Rainer Hannig see Hudjefa II, or “Sedjes”, as the predecessor of the Mesochris and the successor of the Sechemchet.
