Hugo Bieler (born July 18, 1843 in Melno ; † October 24, 1912 there ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Bieler was a landowner on Frankenhain near Rehden in the Graudenz district . He attended high school in Gdansk and studied law in Heidelberg , Paris and Berlin . In 1865 he became an auscultator in Berlin. After that he was a farmer and director of the agricultural association Rheden and the consumer association in Graudenz. He was also a member of the district council and district committee of the Graudenzer district and local school inspector.

From 1874 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the National Liberal Party in the constituency of Marienwerder 3 (Graudenz- Strasburg ). He was initially supported by both the Conservatives and the National Liberals in the constituency. In 1878 Bieler joined the conservative faction in the Reichstag and the coalition in the constituency ended. In the Reichstag election in 1881 , a national liberal and a conservative candidate competed against each other in the constituency, which meant that Ignacy von Lyskowski from Poland won the constituency instead .
