Hugo Patiño (born February 5, 1965 in Colombia ) is an American carom player of Colombian origin in the three - cushion discipline .

Career

He won his first US title in 2003 at the National 3-Cushion Championships in Livonia , Michigan , in 2009 a second gold in Michael Kang's Carom Café in New York, and the third in 2016 in North Hollywood, California against nine-time US champion Pedro Piedrabuena with 40:33 in 21 shots.

At the World Games 2017 he failed in the quarter-finals against Spaniard Daniel Sánchez , after defeating his compatriot and three-time junior world champion Javier Palazón a round earlier . In November of that year he was able to prevail in the “Circolo Sportivo Italiano” in Lima, Peru against his former compatriot Robinson Morales with 40:38 in 21  shots and win the Pan-American Grand Prix for the first time.

In 2019 he was again in the final of the US championship, this time against Miguel Torres, whom he surprised with a maximum series (HS) of 18 and defeated in 30 shots with 40:32. It was his fourth US title.
