Hugo Wiedeck

Hugo Wiedeck (born July 18, 1910 in Zabrze , Upper Silesia , † December 21, 1973 in Herford ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1929 at the humanistic high school in Hindenburg OS , Wiedeck entered the municipal administration. He completed the preparatory service at the city administration of Hindenburg, first attended the administration school in Opole and then the administration college in Wroclaw , where he passed the final exams in 1933. He then took law and political science courses. He was initially head of the legal department of the Verbandsgaswerke Oberschlesien Beuthen - Gleiwitz -Hindenburg and later took over the management of the municipal operations in Hindenburg. From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . During the war he was deployed in Poland , France and Russia , most recently as a captain. As a war veteran, he was taken prisoner in the United States, from which he was released at the end of 1945.

Wiedeck moved to West Germany as a displaced person in 1945 and settled in Schötmar . Here he was the managing director and partner in a furniture factory. He also joined the Federation of Expelled Germans (BvD) and acted as a labor judge.

Political party

Wiedeck joined the CDU in 1946 and was later elected to the state executive committee of the CDU Westphalia-Lippe.

MP

Wiedeck was a council member of the city of Schötmar. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1957. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
