The Humarata , also Cerro Umurata , is a 5601 m high volcano in the Sajama province of the Oruro department in western Bolivia . It is located in the border area between Bolivia and Chile . Together with the Capurata (6039 m) and the Acotango (6052 m) it forms the Quimsachata volcano chain. It is their northernmost peak. The time of the last outbreak is unknown.
The stratovolcanoes of the Quimsachata group - Quimsachata means three brothers in Aymara - are located south of the border triangle Peru- Bolivia- Chile on the Bolivian side.
