Humberto Romero Martínez (born October 11, 1964 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ), also known by the nickname Romerito , is a former Mexican soccer player who mainly played in midfield and started working as a soccer coach after his active career .

career

Romero began his professional career at his hometown club Club Leones Negros de la Universidad de Guadalajara , with whom he was runner-up in the Mexican league in the 1989/90 season and won the Mexican cup competition in the following 1990/91 season .
