Hunter Myles Mahan (born May 17, 1982 in Orange , California ) is an American professional golfer of the PGA TOUR .
Career
After a successful amateur career, Mahan became a professional golfer in 2003 and qualified for the PGA TOUR from 2004 . He celebrated his first tournament victory in 2007, which brought him to the top 100 of the golf world rankings. After further successes, in particular winning the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship in February 2012, Mahan temporarily moved up to fourth place in the world rankings.
He has played three times in the Presidents Cup and twice in the Ryder Cup in the US selection.
