Hunter Tylo (* 3. July 1962 in Fort Worth , Texas as Deborah Jo Hunter ) is an American actress and author . Tylo was best known in the 1970s and 1980s as a model and in the 1990s for her role as Dr. Taylor Hayes Forrester in the television series The Bold And Beautiful .

life and career

Tylos acting career began in 1985 when she three years in the series All My Children , the role of Robin McCall embodied. On the set she met her future husband Michael Tylo . In 1988 she switched to Zeit der Sehnsucht and finally in 1990 to rich and beautiful . In the spring of 1996, she decided to leave the series and join Melrose Place . She realized at the time that she was pregnant, whereupon Spelling-Productions fired her. She went back to work at Reich und Schön , but sued Aaron Spelling in 1997 for discrimination. A jury awarded her $ 4.89 million in compensation, but the role of Taylor McBride in Melrose Place went to her time-of-year-long colleague Lisa Rinna . After disagreements with the Reich und Schön producer Bradley Bell , Tylo was released from her contract in 2002, and the character Dr. Taylor Hayes Forrester died that same year. In 2005, she and the producers agreed to play the role of Dr. Taylor Hayes Forrester bring back to life.

Tylo had been married to her fellow actor Michael Tylo since July 7, 1987. The couple have three children together: Michael Jr. (1988-2007), Izabella Gabrielle (* 1996) and Katya Ariel (* 1998). From her first marriage to Tom Morehart there was also a son named Christopher (* 1980). The marriage with Michael Tylo was divorced in late 2005. When her four month old daughter Katya developed retinoblastoma , a rare form of eye cancer, in 1998 , Tylo wrote her autobiography Making A Miracle . After Katya's right eye had to be removed, she underwent chemotherapy. For a short time a tumor also developed in the left eye, which fortunately disappeared again. On October 18, 2007, their son Michael Jr. drowned in the pool at the family estate in Henderson , Nevada, at the age of 19 . Michael Jr. suffered from epilepsy and is believed to have fallen in the pool and drowned during a seizure.
