Hurghada International

The Hurghada International was a squash tournament for women and men.

The tournament was held for the first time in 2002 with an all-women competition in the WSA Gold 35 category of the WSA World Tour . In the following year it belonged to the WSA Gold 25 category , from 2004 to 2007 to the WSA Silver 15 category and from 2008 to the last event in 2011 to the WSA Silver 20 category . The men's competition took place for the first time in the 2008 season of the PSA World Tour . In this and the following season it belonged to the PSA 5 Star category , in 2010 only one show tournament was held. In 2011 it belonged to the PPE 70 category .

The men's record winner is Ramy Ashour , who won all events, including the show tournament in 2010. In the women's category, Omneya Abdel Kawy secured the most victories with four titles in 2006 and from 2008 to 2010. Kawy was eight times in a row in the final from 2004 to 2011, five times against Rachael Grinham , who won the title three times.
