The nail cups or stem cups ( Hymenoscyphus ) form a large genus of the Helotiales with 155 species worldwide.
features
The genus is very extensive and includes small mushrooms that live saprophytically on dead wood, herb stalks, fruits, etc. Several genera such as Bisporella are outwardly very similar, which is why a microscopic characterization is essential. An important distinguishing feature is the excipulum , which in Hymenoscyphus is made up of parallel hyphae at an acute angle to the surface . The Ascus-Porus blue in Lugol .
