Hysteresis is a punk rock band founded in Tübingen in 2009 . So far, three self-titled albums have been released and concerts have been played in 20 countries.
history
While the first two albums were recorded in their own rehearsal room and mixed by Robin Völkert, the recordings for the third album were made in the Milchwerkstudio Tübingen by Fabe Schaller. The master's was done by Christian Bethge in the Rama Studio Mannheim. In the course of the collaboration, a recording was also made during the Melting Butter Sessions.
In addition to Germany, concerts of hysteresis took place in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, the USA and Canada mainly within the framework of DIY tours also take place in the preliminary program for Turbostaat , Drangsal , The Baboon Show , Feine Sahne Fischfilet and Wolves in the Throne Room .
style
Hysteresis uses style elements from garage punk, hardcore and alternative rock . The two-part singing is considered an outstanding feature. In some songs, in addition to the tone progression of the voices, the text that is sung differently at the same time also varies, creating a kind of cannon effect.
Concerts of hysteresis are often no longer than 30 minutes. The appearances are mostly demonstratively unadorned and designed without significant interaction with the audience.
Hysteresis speak out against all forms of group-related enmity . The texts are written in English and mainly deal with unpleasant personal experiences.

Bassist Thomas Haug plays all concerts with his back to the audience. The background is unclear.
In 2018, Karl-Ulrich Walterbach e-mailed an interest in working with hysteresis, but there never was a meeting.
