I'm so Excited is a 1982 song by the Pointer Sisters . It was released as a single from their album So Excited! decoupled and reached number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 46 on the R&B charts. The piece was voted # 264 in the “ Songs of the Century ” by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In the summer of 1984 the song was re-released; the remix was at number 9 on the US charts and number 11 in England. The music video for the song was also only shot in 1984. It shows the sisters getting ready to go out at home. In the disco the women dance to their own song. The song was used in the films Summer Lovers (1982) and The Crazy Professor (1996).
