Nina Badrić

Nina Badrić (born July 4, 1972 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian pop singer .

Life

As a child, Nina Badrić sang with the multi-award-winning girls' choir Zvjezdice (Sternchen), with which she also went on tour and recorded several albums.

In 1993 she appeared at the Crovizija (forerunner show of "Dora" - the Croatian preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest) and took eighth place with her song "Ostavljam te". In the following years she tried "Godine Nestvarne" (1994) and "Odlazis Zauvijek" (1995) and failed again. Her last participation in the Croatian pre-selection Dora Festival for the Eurosong was in 2003 with the song "Čarobno jutro". She took second place behind Claudia Beni. In 2012 she was nominated by the Croatian TV HRT directly for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in the Azerbaijani capital Baku . She appeared with the Croatian ballad "Nebo" in the second semifinals, but could not qualify for the final two days later.

In 1995 Badrić recorded the album Godine Nestvarne . Her second album Personality was Croatia's best-selling album in 1997 and 1998 and was awarded two Porin , the Večernjakova ruža and other prizes. With the single I'm so excited she also became known outside of Croatia.

In 2002 she was awarded an Oscar for best foreign singer in Bosnia and Herzegovina . One year later, her album Ljubav was awarded the Porin several times and was awarded the Zlatna ploča (gold) prize for over 15,000 copies sold .
