Career

Claudia was initially a member of the Croatian band Teens (the band released three albums which together sold over 30,000 copies in Croatia alone), with which they celebrated success in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina , Montenegro and Slovenia .

When the band broke up, Claudia started a solo career and released her first solo album Claudia in 2002 . Her debut album, Claudia, in the pop style, sold over 10,000 copies in Croatia and was therefore awarded silver .

However, Beni made her final breakthrough as a singer when she represented Croatia at the 48th Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the song Više nisam tvoja (I can't be your lover) ( Eng .: I am no longer yours). She reached the 15th place.

After that, the singer switched her record company from Hit Records to Menart Records . Claudia also began recording her second album Čista kao Suza , which was released in the 1st quarter of 2004. From Beni's second studio album, the song U noći punog mjeseca (English: On the night of the full moon) became a hit in Croatia.

In 2006 Claudia Beni applied again for the Eurovision Song Contest at the Croatian preliminary decision, the Dora . However, she was unable to convince with her song Samo ti mi ostani (German: just stay with me) and failed in the preliminary round.

At the end of 2006, the singer went back to the studio to work on songs for a third studio album. After Beni's record company initially announced the album for mid-2007, the release was postponed for unknown reasons and later canceled.

In 2008 she withdrew from the public and the Croatian music scene and worked as a hairdresser in her hometown of Opatija. In the mid-2010s she returned to the music scene as a singer for the local group Koktelsi. She is now the owner of the Beni Caffé in Matulji , which she took over from her father.
