Kraljevi Ulice & 75 Cents were the Croatian representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 . With their song Romanca they took 21st place.

Career

Kraljevi Ulice ( Croatian for kings of the street ) were founded in 1987 in Zagreb by Miran Hadži Veljković (born April 20, 1958 in Zagreb) and Zlatko Petrović Pajo (born October 1, 1957 in Kavadarci , now North Macedonia ). At the ESC, they performed together with the rapper 75 Cents ( Ladislav Demeterffy , born January 29, 1933 in Zagreb; † November 19, 2010 there, the artist name alludes to the rapper 50 Cent ), who has performed with the Kraljevi Ulice since 2000 and was considered the oldest ESC participant to date. He held this record until the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 , in which the then 76-year-old Natalja Pugacheva (born November 28, 1935) took part as a member of the Russian singing group Buranowskije Babuschki . Also in 2012, the record for the oldest participating man went to the then 76-year-old British singing colleague Engelbert (born May 2, 1936)

Kraljevi Ulice perform regularly as street musicians in Zagreb. They are often accompanied by Zoran Lovrić Zoc on bass, 75 Cents played the accordion, Hadži played the violin and Pajo guitar.
