Damir Kedžo (born May 24, 1987 in Omišalj ) is a Croatian singer .

life and career

Kedžo was born on May 24, 1987 in Omišalj. There he also finished music school and sang in a church choir.

In 2003 he first became known to the public when he took part in the talent show Story Supernova Music Talents and ended up reaching the top 7. In January 2004 he became part of the Croatian boy band Saša, Tin i Kedžo , with whom he was able to reach number 1 in the Croatian singles charts. Their corresponding song 365 stayed at number 1 on the Croatian music charts for six weeks. In 2005, however, the band split again and Kedžo took a break for a year.

In 2006 Kedžo returned to the music business, where he was honored at the Melodije Istre i Kvarnera awards ceremony for the best debut artist with the song Ki bi sad reke . He received another award with the song in the category of best song interpretation in 2007.

In 2010 Kedžo also had appearances in Croatian musicals before he took part in the Croatian preliminary decision Dora in 2011 .

In December 2016 he was able to win the third season of the show Tvoje lice zvuči poznato . In January 2019, Kedžo won the Zagreb Festival with the song Srce mi umire za njom .

In 2020 he took part in the Dora Festival for the second time , where he won first place with the song Divlji vjetre . He was supposed to represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam ( Netherlands ) in May , which had to be canceled on March 18, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
