Iñaki Mallona Txertudi
Iñaki Mallona Txertudi CP (born July 1, 1934 in Frúniz ) is the former bishop of Arecibo .
Life
Iñaki Mallona Txertudi joined the religious community of Passionists and was ordained a priest on March 27, 1956 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Arecibo on December 14, 1991. The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year ; Co-consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat and Josip Uhač , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples . The inauguration in the diocese of Arecibo took place on January 25 of the next year.
On September 24, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
