The French carmaker Peugeot describes an operating concept for controlling and operating its car models as the i-Cockpit . The "i" stands for "intuitive".

The development of the i-Cockpit 2013-2017 is by Bertrand Rapatel (Director of Interior Design Peugeot) and his team.

Components

The i-cockpit contains four elements:

The touchscreen accommodates numerous operating functions, including setting the heating and the 2-zone automatic air conditioning . As a rule, the touchscreen is only available from the mid-range Active . As a special feature of the Peugeot 308 II , the rev counter runs in opposite directions on this model.

In April 2016, Peugeot presented a further development of the i-Cockpit, which is used in the 2nd generation of the Peugeot 3008 . The steering wheel has been flattened at the top and bottom and the previous analog instruments in the dashboard have been completely replaced by a display.
