Ian Boyd

Ian Boyd ( Ian Hugh Boyd; born December 8, 1933 in Epsom ) is a former British middle-distance runner .

In 1954 he won bronze over 880 yards for England starting at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver and was sixth in the mile run . At the European Athletics Championships in Bern , he was ninth over 1500 m .

In 1956 he came in eighth place at the Olympic Games in Melbourne over 1500 m. At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff in 1958 , he was eliminated over a mile in advance.
