Ibrahim Dossey Allotey (born November 24, 1972 in Accra , † December 9, 2008 in Bucharest ) was a Ghanaian soccer player who has played for FC Brașov , Rapid Bucharest and Pandurii Târgu Jiu , among others .

Career

Dossey began his career at FC Brașov in 1996 and moved to Rapid Bucharest in 2000 , where he stayed for 4 years until he played again for FC Brașov in 2004-2006. In 2006 he moved to Pandurii Târgu Jiu , stayed there until 2008 and then signed a contract with FCM Târgovişte , where he was unable to play due to the car accident.

Ibrahim Dossey took part in the 2001/02 UEFA Cup with FC Brașov . With the Ghanaian team he won the first football medal for Africa at the 1992 Summer Olympics .

death

Two days after signing with FCM Târgovişte, Dossey was in a car accident on September 18, 2008 near Breaza in Prahova County and fell into a coma. His wife and two children were uninjured in the accident. On December 9, 2008, at the age of 36, he died in the Bagdasar Arseni Hospital in Bucharest without having regained consciousness. He was buried in Hârșova .
