Ibrahim Rachidi (born January 13, 1980 in Marseille ) is a Comorian - French football player .

Club career

In his youth, Rachidi belonged to several clubs before he moved to SM Caen in 2000 and a year later to Germany to Karlsruher SC , where he did not make it into the first team. In 2002 he went to Corsica and signed with a fourth division club from L'Île-Rousse . Although he made regular appearances in the team, his contract was not extended in 2004. In December 2005 he found a new employer in the fourth-class club SO Cassis Carnoux . There he became a regular player and made it to the third division with the team in 2008.

In 2009, after his contract with Cassis Carnoux expired, he moved to the fourth division US Marignane , which he left after a year in 2010 to return to Corsica with his signature with Gazélec FC Ajaccio . He took a regular place in the team that reached the team's first promotion to the second division in 2012. On July 27, 2012, Rachidi was used in an encounter against his youth club SM Caen over the full 90 minutes, making his second division debut and playing his first game in a professional league at the age of 32. In the following years he continued to run regularly for Ajaccio, even if he was not part of the regular eleven. In 2013 he had to accept a direct relegation to the third division after a year and left the club at the same time.

After two months without a club, he was signed by third division club ES Uzès Pont du Gard in September 2013 . With this he was relegated at the end of the 2013/14 season, whereupon he joined Sporting Toulon a little later . However, the contract was terminated again in August 2014, which is why he was temporarily without an employer. In January 2015 he signed with fourth division US Marignane , for whom he had played a few years earlier. In Marignane he stayed only half a year and did not get more than two contested games in this. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he moved to the third division GS Consolat from his native Marseille. In the summer of 2016, he temporarily ended his playing career and was hired as a youth coach at the first division club Olympique Marseille . From the beginning of 2017 he was called up in the second team of Olympique Marseille.

National team

Thanks to his Comorian origins, Rachidi, who is eligible to play for the Comoros national team, was nominated for an international match against Zambia on September 4, 2011. The game, which was played in Mitsamiouli in the Comoros, the player played in his time in the third division with Ajaccio. This was followed by another use, which Rachidi booked in November of the same year in a 1: 4 against Mozambique . After that, the footballer, who was 31 years old when he made his debut, was no longer considered for the national team. In the spring of 2014, he managed to return to the selection, for which he was then regularly used.
