The Ice is a mega yacht owned by the Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimow and is number 53 in the list of the longest motor yachts in the world. In 2006 she won the Superyacht of the Year award .

It was designed by Tim Heywood and Terence Disdale and built by the German Lürssen shipyard in Bremen . At first it was called Air and belonged to Ernesto Bertarelli , an Italian / Swiss businessman who sold it to Russian billionaire Suleyman Kerimov in the year of its completion.

Furnishing

The Ice is provided with a diesel-electric equipped propulsion system consisting of two Deutz - generators is that the power for two ABB type 5 POD propulsion produce. The ship reaches a top speed of up to 18 knots . As one of the most environmentally friendly motor yachts , it has the most modern noise and vibration dampers as well as a control system to minimize emissions. With the 400,008 l tanks, the Ice is able to cover around 6,000 nautical miles .

On the upper deck there is a swimming pool, a whirlpool and a helipad including a Eurocopter EC 135 .
