action

Bernard sees 17-year-old blonde beauty Jane in a London nightclub and falls in love with her. Later that evening he found her in a back room of the nightclub next to the body of the nightclub owner Prescott. She asserts that she did not commit the crime, but she can provide information about the possible motive for the murder: Prescott allegedly owned a compromising photo of her stepmother Martha. Jane suspects it is in Prescott's private apartment. Bernard goes there alone. But he's not the only one interested; he cleverly overpowers his competitors and escapes. He returns to his apartment empty-handed, where Jane is waiting for him. After the two lovers take a trip to the park, Jane is kidnapped. Since Jane's brother Jerome is keeping a secret about his private life, Bernard considers him suspicious and goes to see him. At that moment Jerome receives a ransom note for Jane over the phone. With 10,000 pounds he could release Jane. Bernard reports that a midget was involved in Jane's abduction. Jerome can classify the dwarf as Larris' henchman. Larris is the lover of Martha, the stepmother of Jane and Jerome. In a demolished house near the marshalling yard they can free Jane from the hands of their kidnappers.

Since Bernard's apartment is monitored, the newly in love hides temporarily with Bernard's friend David. Later they go to Larris and hope he will explain them. But Larris is already dead in his bathtub. You leave the scene in a hurry. They split up on the metro; Jane is supposed to go back to David, Bernard promises to comply. However, he is captured and tortured by his opponents until he finally says that the little book he is looking for is with Jane. After Bernard has recovered from this in David's apartment, he wants to speak to Martha. Jane and Jerome try unsuccessfully to dissuade him. He finds her at a rock concert, confronts her with Larri's death and presents her with an item of jewelry that he found next to the corpse. Martha identifies the jewelry as Jane's property. Thus, Jane is clear as the perpetrator for him. In one last discussion in the romantic sunset, Bernard tells Jane that he doesn't care. But she points a pistol at Bernard and shoots him to eliminate him as an accomplice.

Reviews

"As a crime thriller poor, but the poppy-psychedelic look enjoys a certain cult status among Sixties fans."

- TV feature film

"The story is staged as a game with pre-defined cinematic plot patterns, but a clear conception is missing, so that it remains a superficial mixture of sex and crime."

- Lexicon of International Films

“Action-free and low-tension film with extravagant, often mannered-looking color photography, set in an environment characterized by pop art. Fashionably packaged boredom. "
