I think it's going again was first released as a single in August 1988 and was part of Kaiser’s twelfth studio album Seitenblicke , which came out in October of that year. The text and the composition come from the collaboration of Franz Bartzsch , Roland Kaiser and Peter Wagner. In terms of content, the piece is about a man who feels the extreme lust for life.
In Germany the single reached number 54 and stayed in the charts for a total of eight weeks. In the ZDF hit parade , Kaiser appeared with the song on September 7, 1988 , as the third place of the title chosen at the time using the ticket procedure. Kaiser also sang the song for Ein Kessel Buntes on March 10, 1990.
