To love dich is a song by the German singer Roland Kaiser from 1981. It is his third-highest single release in the German charts.
Origin and content
The song was written by Joachim Heider , Roland Kaiser and Norbert Hammerschmidt and produced by Thomas Meisel . In the lyrics of the ballad , the stanzas of which are in a minor key, while the refrain is in a major, the protagonist praises the “warmth” and “closeness” of the loved one who “arouses” the “longing” for a life with her.
Publication and reception
To love you was released as a single on Hansa Records in July 1981 and was released in the same month on Kaiser's fourth studio album to love you . The song also appeared on numerous compilations . In 2004, 2010 and 2017 Kaiser also released new versions of the song, which in turn can be found on numerous compilations.
In the ZDF hit parade Kaiser appeared three times with the song in 1981 . He sang it for the first time on October 12, 1981 as a new performance. On November 9, 1981 (second place) and December 7, 1981 (first place) he was allowed to recite it. Kaiser was also seen with the title on other television appearances, for example at Disco on October 19, 1981 and at Wetten, dass ..? with Frank Elstner on October 31, 1981. On October 27, 1983, on October 27, 1983, he sang it again in the super hit parade hits that you won't forget .
In Germany, the song placed fifth in the single charts and stayed there for a total of 24 weeks. The single became Kaiser's fourth top 10 success and the seventh chart hit in Germany.
