Ichgola Androgyn (bourgeois: Bernd Boßmann , born October 21, 1960 in Appeldorn ) is a German actor and gay activist .

Life

Bernd Boßmann first trained as a nurse and psychiatrist and later studied acting and acrobatics . Under the pseudonyms Theodor van den Boom or Ichgola Androgyn he played a. a. at the Kaiserhof-Theater ( Cologne ), Theater des Westens ( Berlin ), Schillertheater (Berlin) , Maxim Gorki Theater (Berlin), SchwuZ (Berlin), Wühlmäuse (Berlin), Bar every reason (Berlin), Traumtheater Salomé , Circus Roncalli . He was a member of Tuntenensemble Ladies Neid , Gosh (Show: Cirque des hommes) and the original sound Piraten (from 2007). He also shot under the direction of Rosa von Praunheim , Michael Brynntrup and others in the Rosa-von-Praunheim feature film I am my own wife . He played the role of the young Charlotte von Mahlsdorf .

Together with the cabaret tunes BeV StroganoV , Ovo Maltine and Tima the Divine , he was politically involved in the act-up movement in the 1980s and 1990s and generated funds for AIDS-aid projects through events and collections. In the documentary film Tunten not lie by Rosa von Praunheim, the four are portrayed full-length. In 1987 he founded HIV e. V. to care for AIDS sufferers. A big benefit in the Tempodrom tent with many stars served as start-up financing. In 1990 he organized a benefit for Pluspunkt e. V. (first AIDS self-help group in the eastern part of Berlin).

In September 2006 he opened the first German cemetery café in the Old St. Matthew Cemetery in Berlin-Schöneberg , the name "finovo" means "end & beginning". Here he is also a member of the non-profit association EFEU e. V. , who takes care of the restoration of the historical graves. He also volunteers in the EFEU eV project Garden of Star Children, a special place of rest and memorial for stillborn or miscarriage children, where parents can find their own place for their child and a place of mourning. The cemetery, the café, EFEU e. V., the "Sternenkinder" and his commitment to them are the subject of several documentaries, television and radio reports as well as newspaper articles.

In 2009 he and his colleagues from the "O-Ton Piraten" founded the unsubsidized theater O-TonArt (on the first floor of the building where the first SchwuZ used to be) in Kulmer Strasse, very close to the cemetery . The theater group itself broke up in 2014. As a “clear pit” he invented the “Berlinade”, two special types of lemonade, the profits of which are to be used for social purposes.
