Ida Sand , actually Ida Kristina Sandlund (born November 5, 1977 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish soul and jazz musician ( vocals , piano , e-piano ).

Live and act

Sand's father was a well-known opera singer who was engaged for 30 years at the Stockholm Royal Opera , her mother a church musician. She started playing the cello at the age of eight , then played the piano and at the age of 16 went to the Stockholm Music High School, two years later to the Gothenburg University of Music , where she also appeared on the jazz scene, in nightclubs, piano bars and soul clubs. After her discovery by Nils Landgren , she worked as a freelance singer and pianist a. a. with Eric Gadd , Bo Kaspers , Jerry Williams , Uno Svenningsson and Jennifer Brown . In 2007 she presented her debut album Meet Me Around Midnight with ACT , on which she accompanied musicians like Lars Danielsson and Jan Lundgren ; so far two more albums have followed under his own name. She was also involved in Nils Landgren's albums License to Funk (2007) and Christmas with My Friends III (2011) and IV (2014).

Sand is married to guitarist Ola Gustafsson, who also produced her album True Love .
