Ida Sargent (born January 25, 1988 in Newport ) is an American cross-country skier .

Career

Sargent took part in competitions of the Nor-Am Cup and the US Super Tour from 2005 to 2011. She ran her first World Cup race in February 2011 in Drammen , which she finished classically with 59th place over 10 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , she finished 51st over 10 km classic and 45th place in the sprint. In December 2011, Rogla got her first World Cup points with 25th place in the sprint. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season she was able to finish the Nordic Opening in 18th place. In February 2013 in Sochi , she achieved her first top ten placement with sixth place in the sprint. Her best placement at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme was 25th in the 15 km skiathlon. She finished the season in 39th place in the overall World Cup ranking and 22nd place in the sprint ranking. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, she came in 34th place over 10 km classic and 19th place in the sprint. She finished the 2013/14 season with 49th place in the overall World Cup ranking. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , she finished 29th in the sprint. In the 2015/16 season she made it into the points ten times in the World Cup. Her best placement was seventh in the sprint stage of the Nordic Opening in Ruka , which she finished in 44th place. In March 2016 she finished 34th in the Ski Tour Canada and at the end of the season she reached 43rd place in the overall World Cup and 23rd place in the Sprint World Cup. After finishing 57th in the World Cup mini tour in Lillehammer at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she achieved her first podium finishes in the World Cup in Pyeongchang with third place in the sprint and third place together with Sophie Caldwell in the team sprint and thus achieved 17th place in the sprint world cup . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , she finished 43rd over 10 km classic and 24th in sprint. In the 2017/18 season she took 38th place in the Ruka Triple and 57th place in the World Cup final in Falun. In January 2018 she finished third in the team sprint in Dresden together with Sophie Caldwell. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, she finished 33rd in the sprint. In January 2019, she was American champion in the sprint classic in Craftsbury .
