Idrijca [ idriːt͡sa ] ( Eng .: Fetschenbach ) in Slovenia is a tributary to the Isonzo , which rises in the Slovenian Karst Mountains near Vojsko , flows through the village of Idrija and after 60 km flows into the Soča (Isonzo) at Most na Soči ( Mauerskirch ) south of Tolmin .
A tributary of the Idrijca is the Trebuščica , which rises not far from the Idrijca source and flows from there to the northwest, while the Idrijca flows first to the southeast, then to the north, to the west and, after merging with the Trebuščica, finally also to the northwest.
Another tributary is the Jezernica, which rises in the Divje Jezero lake and flows into the Idrijca after only 55 m.
The Idrijca is part of the Zgornja Idrijca Landscape Park .
fauna
The Idrijca and Trebuščica are rich in fish. The brown trout is most frequently represented , as well as trout cross, grayling and carp . The Soča trout , which can reach a size of over 1 m, is less common, but is very popular with fly fishermen.
