The Idun Peak is a small mountain peaks of the Asgard Range in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It looms between Mount Thundergut and Veli Peak .
Following a joint proposal by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names and the New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee , it has been named after Idun , goddess of youth and immortality from Norse mythology, since 1976 .
