Ignacio Ithurralde , full name Ignacio Ithurralde Sáez , (born May 30, 1983 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
Depending on the sources, 1.86 meters or 1.89 meters tall defensive player Ithurralde belonged at the beginning of his career from the Apertura to the Clausura 2007 in the squad of the first division Defensor Sporting . From the 2002 season to the end of the 2005/06 season, he had 63 league games with four goals. In the 2006/07 season there are 20 first division appearances and three goals for him. From July 2007 to mid-January 2008 he played in Mexico for CF Monterrey . With the Mexicans, he played eight games (no goal) of the Primera División . This was followed by twelve first division appearances (no goal) in the Clausura 2008 at Olimpo de Bahía Blanca in Argentina . In late July 2008, he joined their league rivals Rosario Central and played four games (no goal) in the Primera División . This was followed by an engagement at Peñarol in Montevideo from January 2009 to January 2010 . In the "Aurinegros" he ran nine times (no goal) in the Clausura 2009 and eight times (one goal) in the Primera División in the 2009/10 season . The next employer was Club Bolívar in Bolivia until mid-January 2011 . In the LFPB he completed 35 games (one goal) and was also used six times (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores . In that competition he also played four times (no goal) in his next engagement at the Paraguayan club Guaraní , which extended until mid-2011 . He also played two league games with the Paraguayos (no goal). He then played for Audax Italiano in Chile until mid-January 2012 . Six appearances in the Primera División and two in the Copa Chile - each without a personal goal - was his statistical record. This was followed by a move to Colombia for Millonarios FC . He played 23 league games (one goal), two games (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores, nine encounters (one goal) of the Copa Colombia and two Super Cup games, then returned to Uruguay at the end of July 2013 and signed a contract with the first division club Club Atlético Rentistas . He played 14 times (no goal) in the Apertura 2013 in the Primera División and decided to move again to Bolivia in the first days of January 2014. This time the club Blooming was his employer, for which he played 14 first division games (no goal). Since the Apertura 2014 he is back in the ranks of Rentistas. In the 2014/15 season he was used 21 times (two goals) in the top Uruguayan league and twice (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . In July 2015, he moved within the league to Racing Club de Montevideo . In the 2015/16 season he made 22 top division appearances and scored two goals. In the 2016 season he was used in eleven league games (no goal). It was then initially reported that he had ended his career. In January 2017, however, he signed a contract for one season with the second division club Deportivo Maldonado .
National team
Ithurralde was also part of the Uruguayan U-20 selection . With the team trained by Jorge Da Silva , he took part in the U-20 South American Championship in 2003 , in which Uruguay finished 5th. As part of the tournament, he was used in the group matches against Ecuador, Brazil and Bolivia and in the final round at least against Argentina. He made his debut on September 27, 2006 with a starting eleven in the 0-1 away defeat in the friendly against Venezuela under coach Óscar Tabárez in the Uruguayan national team . He played his second and last international match on February 7, 2007 in a 3-1 away win in the international friendly against Colombia .
