Ignacio José Gómez Aristizábal (born December 2, 1929 in El Peñol ) is old archbishop of Santa Fe de Antioquia .

Life

Ignacio José Gómez Aristizábal was ordained a priest for the diocese of Sonsón on August 17, 1958 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Ocaña on July 24, 1972 . The bishop of Sonsón-Rionegro, Alfonso Uribe Jaramillo , ordained him episcopal on September 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Alberto Uribe Urdaneta , Archbishop of Cali , and Alfredo Rubio Diaz , Archbishop of Nueva Pamplona .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Santa Fe de Antioquia on October 10, 1992 . On January 12, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
