Ignaz Prell (born April 3, 1805 in Ebern , Lower Franconia , † January 5, 1874 in Bamberg ) was a German politician.

Life

Prell was the son of a rent agent and from 1814 attended high school in Bamberg. This is at least clear from the reports on the Royal High School and Study Institutes in 1814 and 1815/16. He then went through training as a lawyer. From 1840 he is listed in the government gazette for Royal Bavaria as a lawyer at the Bamberg District and City Court, then District Court I. and II.

In 1848 he was a member of the pre-parliament . From 1849 to 1855 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies in the Bavarian Parliament.

He was one of the so-called "Bamberg Radical Democrats" around Nikolaus Titus and the Bamberg doctor Heinrich Heinkelmann , who were responsible for the 14 Bamberg articles .

Ignaz Prell is the father of the publisher August Prell .
