Igor Jakowlewitsch Krutoi , Russian Игорь Яковлевич Крутой (born July 29, 1954 in Hajworon , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian singer and songwriter ; Honored Artist of Russia.

His father was a freight forwarder, his mother a laboratory technician and his sister is a television presenter in Ukraine and the USA. Igor Krutoi was born on July 29, 1954 in Hajworon (Ukraine). In his childhood he independently learned to play a bayan and performed with a school ensemble. After graduating from musical school, Krutoi studied music at a music college and graduated with honors in 1974. His first great success came in 1987 when he wrote the song "Madonna" based on the poems of the poetess Rimma Kazakova. Igor Krutoi has been producing songs since 1989 and founded the production company APC (largest organization for concerts and production in Russia), of which he has been president since 1998. Igor Krutoi is one of the most renowned songwriters and composers in Russia, alongside Igor Nikolajew and Maxim Fadejew . In addition, he obtained a. a. in the USA and Germany a high profile as a songwriter and composer.
