Igor Stepanovich Semljanoi ( Russian Игорь Степанович Земляной * 26. May 1967 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakhstan SSR ) is a former Kazakh ice hockey player , who in his active from 1984 to 2004, including Champion of Russia with the Metallurg Magnitogorsk and HK Avangard Omsk became.

Career

Igor Semljanoi began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , for whose professional team he was active from 1984 to 1995 in the top Soviet and Russian leagues. Only during the 1987/88 season did the defender play for his league rivals SKA MWO Kalinin . For the 1995/96 season, the Kazakh signed a contract with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , with whom he won the European Hockey League in 1999 and 2000 , and the Russian champions in 1999 and 2001 .
