The 2006/07 season of the Austrian national ice hockey league was played with nine teams. The defending champion was EHC Lustenau , who lost the championship to VEU Feldkirch .
mode
As in the previous year, nine teams played in the National League, which began on September 23 . The playoff games were played in the best of five mode. What was new here, however, was that in the event of a tie instead of a penalty shoot-out, a sudden victory overtime decided the match.
