The 1992/93 season of the Austrian national ice hockey league was played with eight teams. The defending champion was the EHC Lustenau , but this season they lost to the EC Ehrwald in the final .
Participant and mode
A total of eight teams took part in the championship. Initially, a double round trip was played, which resulted in 28 games for each team. All teams were automatically qualified for the playoffs, which consisted of quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. All series were played in two games, whereby first the number of games and then the goal difference decided on progress.
