The Austrian Ice Hockey League 1992/93 was played with six clubs. For the third time in the club's history, defending champion EC VSV was champion , who prevailed against EC Graz in the final .

Participant and mode

The field of participants remained practically unchanged compared to the previous season. Only the Vienna EV was relegated voluntarily and played in the national league this year . As in the previous year, the transnational Alpine League was played before the state league again (see Alpine League 1992/93 ), so that the domestic Austrian season could not begin until the turn of the year. In the basic round, the clubs played against each other four times, with the four best clubs in the Alpine League starting with four, three, two and one bonus point. The play-off matches were played in best-of-five mode.

With the 3-0 win in the final series and without defeat, the EC VSV successfully defended its championship and won the third championship title in the club's history.
