Champion of the Austrian Ice Hockey League 1984/85 was the 21st time in the club's history of the EC KAC .

The seven clubs played against each other four times in the regular season. The best six clubs qualified for the final round consisting of two rounds, with the first four clubs receiving 4, 3, 2 or 1 bonus points. Then the 1st met the 4th and the 2nd met the 3rd in the semifinals, the encounters were each played in the best of three mode.
