The championship of the Austrian ice hockey league in 1963/64 was the seventh time in the history of the EC KAC . It was the first of eleven championship titles of the KAC in a row, the series was not broken until 1975 by ATSE Graz .

Due to the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1964 , the top division was divided into two groups to enable the national team to prepare well. Only the KAC, Innsbruck and the Wiener EV should play for the title, after a protest by the Kitzbühel the EC Kitzbühel was accepted as the fourth team.
