Alexander Pallestrang (born April 4, 1990 in Bregenz ) is an Austrian ice hockey defender who has been playing for EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian ice hockey league since 2010 . He was also a member of the regular squad of the Austrian U20 national team.

Career

Pallestrang began his career at EHC Hard and switched to VEU Feldkirch as a teenager , where he has already played 29 games in the National League . In 2007 he won this second highest Austrian league with the Vorarlberg team. At the age of 18 he moved to Black Wings Linz , where he played a total of 67 games in the 2008/09 season, 25 of them in the Bundesliga. He was also eligible to play for the Austrian Youth Championship in the 2009/10 season.

Since May 1, 2010 he has been under contract with EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Bundesliga squad. Pallestrang won the Austrian championship for the first time in his career with the Salzburg team in the 2010/11 season . In addition, he won the European Trophy with the club in 2011 . In 2015 and 2016 he was again able to become Austrian champions with the Red Bulls.

International

Pallestrang took part for Austria in the U18 World Championship Division I in 2008 , when he provided two assists , as well as the U20 World Championship in 2009 , when he was champion of Division I with the team from the Alpenland, and in 2010 , when he was in the top division scored a goal and an assist.

He made his debut in the men's national team on December 16, 2010 in the 2-5 defeat against Norway in Jesenice, Slovenia . He took part in the 2015 World Cup in the top division and in 2016 in Division I.
