The Ihtiman Hook (English; Bulgarian Ихтиманска коса Ichtimanska kossa ) is a 700 m long and gravel spit on the north coast of the Burgas Peninsula on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 2.8 km east-northeast of Rila Point , 5.9 km west of Renier Point and 1.5 km south of Half Moon Island on the southern edge of the Mugla Passage in Moon Bay .
Bulgarian scientists mapped them in the course of surveying the Tangra Mountains between 2004 and 2005 and again in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2009 after the town of Ichtiman in western Bulgaria .
