Ikuyo Tsukidate

Ikuyo Tsukidate ( Japanese 築 館 郁 代 , Tsukidate Ikuyo ; born January 15, 1977 in Ikarigaseki (today: Hirakawa ), Aomori Prefecture ) is a Japanese biathlete .

Ikuyo Tsukidate is a sports soldier in the Ground Self-Defense Forces and trains in Sapporo . The athlete has been practicing the sport since 1999 and starts for the "winter combat training unit" . In Lahti , Tsukidate made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup in 2000, finishing 74th in an individual. She achieved her first result in the top ten two years later in the same position with Tamami Tanaka , Sanae Takano and Kanae Meguro in the Japanese season. In Osrblie , the Japanese won her first World Cup point as 30th in the sprint. She achieved her best World Cup result at the 2003 Biathlon World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk . In the individual, she finished 19th in her first of three world championships so far. In 2006 she took part in the Olympic Games for the first time . In Turin , her best result was a 51st place in the sprint.
