Ilya Valeryevich Dawydow ( Russian Илья Валерьевич Давыдов ; born January 25, 1989 in Yaroslavl , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK ŠKP Poprad in the Slovakian extra league .

Career

Ilya Davydov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Lokomotive Yaroslavl , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2005 to 2009 . The defender then spent one season each at Juschny Ural Orsk in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, and at Ischstal Ischewsk in its successor in the Wysschaja Hockey League . For the 2011/12 season he was committed by Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg from the Continental Hockey League and subsequently completed 19 KHL games for the club. During the season he moved to Sputnik Nizhny Tagil in the Wysschaja Hockey League before he was signed by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the summer of 2012 . As a result, however, he was mostly used at HK Sarow in the second division.

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he was with Admiral Vladivostok before he was handed over to HK Traktor Chelyabinsk in November 2014 .

In the 2015/16 season, Dawydow was under contract with HK Vitjas , but moved to Metallurg Novokuznetsk in autumn 2016 and shortly before the 2017 play-offs to HK ŠKP Poprad in the Slovakian extra league .
