Ilka Wolf (born July 12, 1986 in Wolmirstedt ) is a German singer and musical artist .

Life

At the age of 2 she moved to Karl-Marx-Stadt with her family . She took accordion lessons from the 1st grade, classical singing from the 3rd grade, and piano from the 4th grade. In grammar school she sang in the school choir until graduation.

At the age of 15, Ilka Wolf began taking ballet and jazz lessons in the WM Chemnitz studio, in the same year she got her first engagement at the Chemnitz Opera House as 1st genius in “The Second Part of the Magic Flute”.

In 2003 she played a student in "Fame - the Musical", also at the Chemnitz Opera House. In 2005 she graduated from high school and studied German and Czech for a year at the TU Dresden . A year later she got an engagement as a dancer in the Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theater in Annaberg-Buchholz. She then completed a three-year training course at the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg, which she completed with the stage maturity test as a state-recognized musical actress.

During her apprenticeship, she got her first solo role in the German tour of the musical “ Grease ” with “Frenchy” , which was followed by further engagements at the Alten Schauspielhaus Stuttgart. B. in the musical "Blue Jeans" or as an actress in "La Strada".

During this time she recorded the first tracks on her debut album "Einfach Liebe", from which the 1st single release "Actually Love" landed at number 1 on the conservative airplay charts. The album was released on May 10, 2013. In 2014 she appeared in four major hit parades in Hanover, Munich, Cologne and Hamburg and accompanied the French pianist Richard Clayderman on his “Romantique Tour” in several German cities.

She had TV appearances a. a. in the program “Die Schlager des Jahres 2013”, moderated by Bernhard Brink , and three times in the live program “Immer wieder Sonntags” with Stefan Mross (2013, 2014, 2015). In December 2014 she also went on tour with Stefan Mross and other artists under the motto “Christmas again” and “Christmas is everywhere”. In the same month she presented the event “Winter Magic” in several cities.

From January 26th to 28th, 2016 she took part in a three-day cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo with several German-speaking vocal artists. The Danish TV broadcaster dk4 recorded the musical performances for its program. On board she presented her single "Kalt, warm, hot!" For the first time to the public.

Honourings and prices

In July 2014 she received the “Apollo” music prize in the newcomer voting from Schlagerportal.com.
